The School of Humanities and Social Sciences at HSG plays a key role in the four new Horizon Europe projects Nostradamus, LandShift, AfroGrow and Nemesis (expected to start in October 2025) supported by the EU and Switzerland, all focused on pioneering sustainable solutions for agriculture and land use. Led by PD Dr. Sabine Hoidn, an interdisciplinary research team contributes expertise in socioeconomic impact analysis, stakeholder engagement, training concepts, sustainable governance strategies, and gender equality promotion.
ETSI Lab (Educational Transformation and Social Impact) brings together the social science (SSH) perspective currently represented by the research team in four ongoing Horizon Europe projects (AfroGrow, LandShift, Nostradamus, Nemesis).
